Maria Rhinehart, LMSW

Therapist (Telehealth/In-person)

Maria is a Licensed Master Social Worker and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Maria has experience utilizing evidenced based practices including Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. 

 

Maria worked in a Child and Adolescent Pediatric OCD Intensive Outpatient Program where she provided both individual and group therapy. Maria has experience working with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders and specializes in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  Maria has a warm and genuine style which helps her connect with clients who find themselves having a hard time coping with their difficulties. Maria is eager to help her patients regain their sense of freedom while instilling a sense of hope for their future.

Allisen Greene, LMSW

Therapist (Telehealth Only)

Allisen is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW. She received her degree from Michigan State University. She enjoys working with adults, women, men, and couples. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, OCD, women’s issues, postpartum/perinatal depression, grief and loss, pregnancy, divorce, domestic violence, life transitions, relationship issues, substance abuse, stress, trauma and PTSD, and self-esteem.

As a therapist, Allisen creates a safe, warm, and open environment for you to express yourself and assists you in processing emotions. Using empathy, humor, compassion, and honesty, Allisen will work with you on facing life’s difficulties and help achieve your goals. Allisen uses various therapy approaches including CBT, Gestalt, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Schema Therapy.

Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience providing treatment to those suffering from various mental health challenges including: anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, OCD, trauma, and thought disorders. She understands how difficult it can be to take the first step. Emily plans to provide you with a safe, comfortable environment, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist you in meeting your goals.

Emily has experience utilizing evidence-based practices including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Emily has experience working with anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation, addiction, OCD, PTSD, gender issues, grief and loss and legal issues.

Jacqulene Rey, LMSW

Jackie is a Licensed Master of Social Worker and received her degree from Wayne State University. She enjoys working with children, teens, and adults, and has experience working with depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, and ADHD.

 

Jackie has a passion for working with people with chronic illnesses and adjusting to the often-difficult changes in lifestyle. Jackie uses a Person-Centered approach to therapy focusing on empowerment and feeling comfortable exploring emotions and experiences without judgment. Jackie's focus is on finding the best coping tools and skills for each individual. For the younger populations, Jackie uses play therapy and parent-child interaction therapy to develop coping skills and open communication within families.

Michelle Ivey, LMSW

Therapist (Telehealth/In-person)

Michelle is a LMSW and IMH-E. She received a Master's Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. She is rostered with the State of Michigan to provide Child Parent Psychotherapy and has a Level II Endorsement in Infant Mental Health. Michelle enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and children. She has experience working with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, severe mental illness, ADHD, and PTSD.

 

Michelle truly enjoys working with people. She approaches treatment from a Strength-Based perspective and sees individuals as creative and resilient when they face adverse conditions. She hopes to help others realize their full potential and live the most fulfilling life possible. She has been working in the field of social work for 25 years. Michelle loves spending time with her girls and all their family pets.

Donna Dehn, LPC

Therapist (Telehealth/In-person)

Donna is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her degree from Oakland University. She is currently obtaining certification in Schema Therapy, and also holds certifications in evidenced based parent training curriculums. Donna enjoys working with adults and couples. 

 

Donna has experience in the areas of anxiety/depression, anger management, premarital counseling, relationships, divorce, grief/loss/trauma, parenting, and attachment disorders. She sees counseling as a way to work together to find insight, gain support, and to make life more fulfilling. Donna is married and has two adult sons. She enjoys traveling and loves crafting.

Laura Pokorski, LMSW

Therapist (Telehealth/In-person)

Laura Pokorski is an LMSW, who received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Oakland University and her Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Louisville.

 

Laura is trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, and disabilities.

 

Laura works with a very direct and down-to-earth approach. She is easy to talk to and genuinely enjoys getting to know her patients and sharing their journey with them! She has a unique background that allows her to connect with people from all walks of life. You can expect her to be excited to hear about your pets, how your week went (good or bad), and about your hobbies and interests!

Shirlann Biondo-Krahulec, LMSW

Shirlann believes we all experience times in our lives that leave us feeling worried, overwhelmed, hopeless, and even defeated. She believes one does not have to walk the journey to healing alone. Therapy is a safe space to start the healing work in finding hope and joy again. Shirlann is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW). She received her degree from the University of Michigan in 2015. 

 

Shirlann enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has experience working with mood disorders, survivors of domestic violence, teen dating violence, family issues, and trauma-informed care just to name a few.  Her therapeutic style is honest, genuine, and direct, personalized to fit each individual. She uses a Strength-Based approach while implementing Solution-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies.  It is Shirlann’s life's passion to help others find their voice, reach their goals, live a meaningful life, and to find hope again.

Kaitlin Long, LMSW

Kaitlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her degree from Michigan State University (GO GREEN!). Kaitlin is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor through MCBAP.  She enjoys working with adults and adolescents, including couples and family work. She has experience working with substance use disorders, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, personality disorders, relationships, family dynamics and mood disorders.

 

Kaitlin states "my priority as a therapist is to allow a safe space to cultivate change, growth and healing." She offers a space that is safe and non-judgmental, while collaborating and adapting to her clients' needs during the change process. Her integrative approach focuses on the strengths of her clients, ensuring their treatment is Person-Centered; focusing on the needs, preferences, beliefs and motivation for change.

Stefina Kovalcik, LMSW

Stefina completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wayne State University, specializing in family therapy. Areas of expertise for therapy include: grief and loss, adolescents with behavioral and mood issues, anxiety and depression, phase-of-life changes, life stresses, and next steps, and empowering women with PTSD. Stefina enjoys working with adults, adolescents, women, men, and all gender preferences. 

 

Stefina hopes to help clients improve mental health, address relationship difficulties, adjust to challenging life changes, empower women and create a safe environment for a healthy therapeutic process. Her style is Person-Centered, empathic, and supportive, as well as honest and open-minded. Stefina believes that change happens when people are given the support they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling happy lives.

Karey Tsatsanis, LPC

Karey holds a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Wayne State University and has 26 years of experience working with adolescents in the public-school setting. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults and has experience with a variety of disorders including depression, anxiety, adjustment and trauma. 

 

Karey strongly believes every individual has the power to make positive changes in their life and loves being part of that journey by coaching, encouraging and empowering! Her approach addresses all three aspects of healthy living: mental, emotional and physical well-being. She is passionate about the mind-body connection and how physical activity positively impacts emotional and mental wellness.

Heidi Connors-Boccomino, LMSW

Heidi is a fully licensed Master of Social Work therapist (LMSW) that has been practicing meaningful therapeutic interventions for 19 years. Whether a recent stressor or years of trauma has you interested in seeking therapy, investing in your mental health can and does work. Finding your unique gifts and coping skills is the goal of treatment. Heidi is also a YT200 trained yoga and breathwork instructor, so she can incorporate guided meditation and a holistic mind/body/spirit approach to treatment should this appeal to a client. 

 

Heidi specializes in grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, ASD, and any life changes. She treats all age ranges. Her favorite quote is, “What you seek is seeking you,” -Rumi. Heidi encourages investing in yourself and invites you to take the first step in a journey towards hope and healing.

Cynthia Jarrett, MA, CTS, LPC

Cindy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduated from Oakland University. She is a Certified Trauma Specialist and has 35 years of experience. Cindy uses a holistic approach to support clients with attaining overall wellness and emotional healing in the areas of body, mind, and spirit balance. She guides clients on their own path of empowerment, self-discovery, and insight, using Person-Centered/Strength Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Spiritual Therapy.

 

Cindy's specializations include but are not limited to: overall wellness, relationship recovery/couples/marital, relationship building/communication, spiritual, anger management, stress management, depression, anxiety, codependency, adjustment difficulties/ life balance, Post Traumatic Stress, goal setting, parenting issues/ guidance techniques, strengthening parent-child bond, art therapy. Cindy provides services for individuals, couples, ages 18 and up, and family therapy.

Scarlett Harrison, LLMSW

Scarlett is a Limited Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from the University of Michigan with her Master of Social Work degree and uses a client-focused and a strength-based approach and has worked alongside clients as they process through life changes and trauma.  Scarlett works with all clients across the life span; ages 6 and older. She has experience working with children/families, trauma, and bereavement/palliative/grief therapy. She uses a client-centered approach with the following modalities: Psychotherapy, CBT/TF-CBT, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Talk/Play Therapy.

 

Scarlett states, “I believe life is full of changes, and no matter what you experience, having someone to walk alongside you can help bring relief and be an added support." She has a passion for connecting with people in meaningful ways. Whether you are looking for your child or yourself, Scarlett would love to be able to walk alongside you. She looks forward to being a part of your journey towards progress, not perfection.

Mckinzie Pittelkow, LMSW

Mckinzie is a Limited Licensed Master of Social Worker and obtained her degree from Western Michigan University. She has a certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families with a variety of mental health and relational issues. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, sexual abuse survivors, legal problems, and other mental health issues.

 

Mckinzie believes in a person-centered therapy style and incorporates an array of evidence-based practices to meet you where you are at and to ensure sustainable change. In sessions, she will meet you with honesty, empathy, and usually a laugh or two. She believes you and your loved ones are worthy and deserving of support. Mckinzie currently offers telehealth sessions only and is here to help clients reach their fullest potential and aid them in bringing real and lasting change.

James is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker who uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to create an inviting and comfortable setting to work with the client in obtaining a better quality of life. Beginning therapy is a very hard first step to make, but together, he aims to achieve your needs and goals to improve your overall well-being.

 

James is educated in using CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Psychotherapy. He is also educated in Behavioral Therapy. James believes empathy is part of the core to being able to build a rapport and trust within the therapeutic relationship. He truly believes this allows the therapist and client to be able to achieve their individual purpose for coming to therapy and to obtain a better quality of life for their future.

Christopher McDaniel, LLMFT

Therapist (Telehealth Only)

Christopher believes mental health is just as important as physical health and that both are equally deserving of authentic care throughout one’s life. Christopher's professional training and knowledge are based on his faith, values, reality thoughtfulness, and mindfulness of our world. He is open to joining clients to explore change, unique outcomes, and self-agency. Given the chance, he would like to go on a journey with clients to find many possibilities and goals to achieve mental wellness. 

 

He is a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) and a Limited Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT). He provides mental health services for general adults, couples, adolescents, individual clients, and families.  Christopher specializes in anxiety, stress, depression, and relational issues. He would like to personally welcome clients and their families to our practice.

Alexis Monaco, LLMSW

She provides a confidential, supportive and non-judgmental environment for clients to work towards identifying life-long patterns contributing to anxiety/depression and dysfunction in relationships. Alexis uses experiential exercises to help uncover these patterns and works to strengthen and foster wellness. She is excited to meet with you and begin this journey!

Diana Monaco

Therapist & Founder

Diana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Advanced Schema Therapist, Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, and founder of Stepping Stones Counseling Center, PLLC holding over 15 years of experience working with substance-related problems and mental health challenges.

 

Diana provides a compassionate and comfortable environment and uses a variety of therapy techniques to educate and build on your skills and strengths. She offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is supported by empirical evidence to help with a multitude of mental health and substance-related disorders. Diana is passionate about using Schema Therapy, which is an integrated approach to treating deeply rooted emotional conditions that stem from negative experiences during childhood/adolescent years.

 

She has experience working with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, substance issues, grief and loss, family issues, physical health challenges, financial hardships, and legal problems. She is eager and excited to help you with attaining your goals to be a happier and healthier you!
